Last year around this exact time I launched my first painting e-course. It was a project I'd dreamed about for what seemed like forever. And then one day I was like, "Ok Jenni, put on your big girl panties and do it. You can...You can...." I had no idea the blessing it would become not only financially for our family but for me personally as an artist. Your taking the class allowed me an opportunity to open up in ways I never knew existed. I found something inside myself...a giant so to say. Because let me be very honest, putting yourself out there in this platform is not easy. It is a TON of work. But worth every minute because it made me think about why and how I paint the way I do.
Which brings me to this summer....Summer 2015. And the launch of Paint Something: Part 2. You do need to take Part 1 first because I will not be going over the basics of my paintings, but rather diving into the painting process. If you visit the website here it tells you ALL about each course. The cost is $99 per course with a $10 discount if you sign up for both at the same time. I can not wait to see more of you in the course. Part 1 will be available again in July as well as Part 2. it all starts July 6th. So what are you waiting for.....join me on this amazing creative journey! Sign up now!

E-course Registration has BEGUN!!!
As you are thinking about giving this season might I make a suggestion? How about giving the gift of art making! Yes. My Paint Something e-course has been such an amazing journey. For both the students and myself. For 4 weeks we gather in the coziness of our own homes and make art together. If you've never taken an e-course before the beauty of this type of class is that all the material is given to you via your computer. You are then held accountable for what you do with the information and how much time you take to absorb the information. Only you. We use Flickr as a platform to share our work with the many new friends we make from around the globe. That's right....around the globe! The past 2 courses I've had students from Ireland, Australia, UK and more! So exciting. Still unsure? Or ready to sign up? Then head on over to the website for ALL the details. And the registration tab. Oh...and it's just $99 plus whatever supplies you choose to purchase from my suggested supply list. Woohooo....let's make some ART! Here's the link: Paint Something: An E-course

Paint Something: an ecourse TAKE 2!
Alright friends...my Paint Something e-course for the summer was super amazing. I know I'm biased because I was the teacher, but really the students made the course special for all of us! So now it's time to re-open and go again! Again, this is PART 1 of Paint Something: an e-course. During the course of 4 weeks we set up our studio, paint, paint, paint and then talk shop. It's a very thoughtfully planned and carefully executed course I planned just for YOU. My sweet readers and blooming artists. If you've ever wanted to know how I get from point A to point B in a painting, then this is the course for you. I tell silly stories, share my thoughts on being an artist, mother and wife and so much more throughout the 4 weeks. And as a extra, you get an entire 4 weeks after the course ends to absorb it a little more.
Here are just a few of the comments I received about the course from the first group:
"You Rock Jenni! And everyone has been so inspiring" -Jackie
"I can't wait for Part 2!" -lots of students said this. YEAH!!!
"THANK YOU for such an enjoyable and information-filled month, Jenni! Loved every minute of it! Please plan to do more... for the first time in years, I want to do art!"
Felicia wrote a whole blog post here about the course.! (she lives in frikin' Ireland!)
After the course you will see the course is more than just making art. It's about being a part of a community of like-minded thinkers. Creative thinkers. Who encourage, support and love you throughout the process. Pinky promise you will end the course feeling excited about art making. And confident moving forward in your creative journey.
Won't you join me? Click over here to the site for all the details and to sign up. We start Monday, October 6th-31st. I can't wait to see you in the class!

"By the way, I am LOVING how your class has challenged me to try
things that I have not felt comfortable doing (ie drawing and painting...I tend
to be more crafty/creative than artsy) and even if I don't like my product I
try to still show it to people like the flickr group and my friends and
boyfriend. I need to embrace the entire process rather than frustrated when I'm
not fantastic right outta the gate! This has been such a humbling experience
but I am THRILLED to have a new arena for creating things for my friends and
family. Especially since I'm at the age where everyone I know is either getting
married or having babies so creating art to hang on their walls as they enter a
new season of life is becoming kind of my niche!"
"Thank you thank you thank you! I, too, am a teacher of little
ones--kindergarten and first grade multi-age class! Whew! I can tell that you
genuinely love to teach--especially art--and you are phenomenal. And I so
appreciate the incredible amount of time, giggles, thought, effort, time,
energy, and did I mention time? ;) that you put into this class. Honestly, I
could go on and on about things I've loved about this entire experience (the
blog posts combined with step-by-step video, and feedback on the Flickr group)
but I'm on my phone writing this and I really don't like typing long emails on
my phone (though you'd never know that judging by how lengthy this email has
gotten. Haha) You can bet my name will be in the roster if you decide to do
part 2!"

Paint Something E-course..Round 2!
Let me ask you this...have you ever wondered where my inspirations come from? Or how I get the brush on the canvas to do this stroke or that stroke? This summer I launched my first ever e-course called Paint Something. It was a giant leap of faith that once out there people would sign up. Friends did sign up. And they flourished in the class! It was an amazing experience. So, I've decided to run it again. In October. All the details on the course are on the website here.
For 4 weeks we'll gather 5 days a week together. From how to set up your creative space, to painting on wood panels I take you through my creative process. And the last week I even throw in how to apply to art shows, galleries, business card ideas and more. It's not just a "How to Paint" series. It's how to be an artist.dreamer.doer. Deep inside you, there is definitely more than you dare think there is. Let me help you find it.
Join me October 6th-31st with access the entire month of November. Cost is $99. Again, check out the website here for all the great details!

Summer Time
Oh summer. Summer. Summer. This summer, unlike last year I feel good. In fact thinking about last summer makes me sad. I spent a majority of it feeling so bad I don't remember much about being a mother, a friend, a wife and even less about an ARTIST. It's a bit of a blur. All I remember is feeling out of control from my health to our finances. Out.of.control. This summer we are exploring life around town, our first trip to the lake with teen friends, (whole blog post worth of that experience!!) and my first art e-course.
Oh geesh look at this photo above. Lawrence is feeling quite left out of porch life. Where I am spending as much time as possible. Lily has completely embraced porch life. Must be a girl thing.I've spent most of my summer free time writing the e-course material on the porch. It feels SO right and SO good to write this. Like something really big is going to emerge from all this. I feel it to my core. In fact after editing today's video I totally cried. It's that freeing to give myself over to teaching creatively like this.
So...if you did'nt get in on the first e-course, I am already scheming the calendar for the fall course. Yep......be on the look out. For now I've get to back to the video that's uploading. Multi-tasking at its best right? Blogging and e-courseing at the same time!

PAINT SOMETHING: an e-course
So this is how I roll. I think about things for a long time. On my runs I day dream about these ideas. I talk about the ideas. I write about the ideas in my "DREAM BIG" notebook. And then something happens and as the saying goes, "the straw that broke the camel's back" happens. This time another email broke the back as it asked ...."Do you offer any online classes? I live too far to come to your PSW workshops in the studio". Yep. I cracked....worked full steam ahead...tunnel vision...got the idea into real time.
Honest to goodness the only reason it's taken me this long is fear. Yeah....good old fashioned fear of not being able to get the computer and my artsy brain to cooperate. But you know, I fixed up a purdy website in the fall. It wasn't so bad. Surely I could do this, right?
So I did. Actually it didn't take as long to get the main platform ready as I had anticipated. Now the content blog part I can't wait to tackle!! I've already had to buy a new notebook for the ideas filing my head as to how to teach you guys online. ONLINE! That means peeps in Croatia can take the class. Ekkkkkkk!!!! I can't wait to get myself on video. I crack myself up a pretty good bit, so warning ya (I also cry when talking about why I paint.). I think in my next life I shall be a stand-up-comedian.
So how do you sign up?.....Well folks head on over the the fresh clean website. All the amazing details are there for the July 7th-August 2nd workshop. I hope to see you ALL there!!!
