Have you ever seen those half-a-bikes that attach to the back of a regular bike? They're designed for your children, before they're independent riders, or even after, but when you want to do a long ride where they wouldn't be able to keep up. We got one for my son when he was 4 and he had a ball riding behind his daddy. He called it the "two-headed bike" and we still call it today, even though our daughter is even too old for it now. It was loads of fun. And you got great looks when people saw you.
